Shared nonprofit business centers have been a boon across the nation in recent years. Much like the Parasol Foundation in Incline Village, local organizations have been realizing the benefits of working together, under one roof, with many shared resources.
The Contractors Association of Truckee Tahoe (CATT) is hoping to bring the Truckee Community Building, which is essentially a shared nonprofit business center, to the Truckee community. This will be made possible by a generous donation of a parcel in the proposed PC3 subdivision, given by the Joerger family who owns the land.
CATT believes that this piece of property is the right parcel for the proposed use. Furthermore, CATT envisions the Truckee Community Building as standing on a signature corner at the intersection of State Route 267 and Brockway Road, and serving as a flagship building in town.
A number of local nonprofit organizations have already lent their support for the Truckee Community Building. These organizations are noted below.
Our partnering nonprofit organizations who stand with CATT in support of the Truckee Community Building and who are interested in being part of this project include:
These organizations are also lending support to the project, but do not foresee their agency or group setting up an office in the proposed building:
